I am looking for a bit of wisdom...
I have a cobra expedition, which i find is a little too long for my needs and is not as agile as id like,
I am looking for something thin lightweight, fast and agile and after a lot of research have come up with the following SOTs.
Triumph 13 (not as thin as id like but by all accounts seems like a good choice)
RTM Tempo Angler (a little more than id like to spend but reviews are good)
I haven't built anything yet, but have been kicking the idea around for several years now. I've done a lot of looking, reading, watching and such. I understand that the "traditional" hull wood is red cedar. I tend to not follow tradition. I have the opportunity to fell and mill some black walnut and should be able to get some long, straight 8/4 planks. Reading the bark, I have strong hopes that they should yield some long clear grain sections that could be used in a kayak. As well as a few sections that will likely have some curl.
Do you have any water shoes made for kayaking? Or you don’t indeed put much thought into the shoes since you have no idea of them. read my article. Link Deleted

You may have noticed that the home page has a little slide show running. I just quickly found a few images to put in to start with.
I could use some more. I'm looking for images of people working on building boats as well as photos of completed boats and boats being used.
The images need to be at least 950 x 355 pixels. I can't guarantee I will use everything, but think of it as a chance to share some nice images here on the forum.
