I know that I can get Pawlonia at Goose Bay Lumber in New Hampshire. It took nearly 3 hours to get there, and I was slightly disappointed at what they had in stock-mostly short lengths, and it looked like it had been in the rain a couple of years. I'd use something else, if I could find a good-looking light weight similar wood.
Hi You can get Pawlonia…
Hi
You can get Pawlonia wood in 1"x 6"x 96" from clearwoodpaddleboards.com, though it is a bit pricey. I was able to get Pawlonia siding in 3/4" x 6"x 16' at a local yard in Michigan for much less about $20.oo a board. The siding is finger jointed but being I was going to paint the hull of my boat it wasn't a concern for the looks of the finished boat.
I can say this, the wood is feather light and quite strong. The only down side I had was with using a hand plane. The finger jointed wood has it's grain going in all directions so sanding was a better option for finishing.

Thanks! Have you purchased…
Thanks! Have you purchased from Clearwood? Nice stuff? It does look pricey, but I'd save $30 in gas, 6 hours time, and a long drive.
Pawlonia wood
No I haven't purchased Clearwood's Pawlonia but I have gotten other items from them and their quality has been good
