Get a cork or two . . .

Well, we know where the water came out of the boat, after you put water into the boat.

So now you have a very efficient drain hole.

I'd mix an ounce of resin and paint the cut edges of the wood to seal them after that had haredened I'd just plug the holes with corks while paddling. At the end of the day, pop the corks out and tip the boat on end to drain the accumulated water that splashed in.

You could also add to your end pour by adding resin through these holes. Put in a cork to plug one hole. If you lay a piece of Saran wrap over the hole before pushing the cork in then the added resin will not adhere to the cork and you cna later pull it out. Rest the boat on it's side so the plugged hole is on the bottom, pour a few ounces of mixed resin into the open hole on top, cover it with a scrap of saran wrap and push in the second cork to seal thing. Then tip the boat up so the resin can pool in the bow. in a few hours the resin will have set and you can remove the corks and Saran.

hope this helps
