Hi, all you brainy people out there! I've got a problem, I'm in the process of fixing up my dad's old 1935 folbot two man kayak. I'm trying to glue some rub strips in the front and back these strips protect the main stiching that hold the rubber skin together these rub strips are glued with a contact cement. The problem is I've made a pattern of the orginal strip but when I lay-it out it wants to buckle . How do you avoid this buckling?.
