Wetting out glass tape

I`m having the damndest time trying to get the tape on the keel seam of my Coho to wet out fully (disappear).

I rolled it on with a 1/8 inch foam roller and tried to tip it out with a foam brush but still got air bubbles, milky spots, and the edges don`t seem to want to lie down into the epoxy, but almost curl up to spite me.

Also couldn`t seem to make it stick to the hull without puckering out at the almost 90 degree keel to stern transition.

I got frustrated and peeled it off before it cured. Any advice before I try again would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, MBF
