Two Paddles Short of a Boat Ride O.T.

Well, I hope someone will have at least one extra paddle to loan out at R2K1. I had one blank all glued up and another about to start. Tried to cut the first one and my 1/4" wide blade curved a bit and wasted the blank. Had to toss that one, and I'm reluctant to cut the other one or even glue it up till I can get a 1/2" wide blade.

Will just make a couple of Greenland paddles when I get back from the trip. I will have two canoe "single" paddles as my spares, so will have to make due for this trip. With this Battleship, the singles will probably work just fine. :)

Would like the opportunity to try a couple of different paddles while I'm there anyway, So.... I'm hoping there will be a couple of spares floating around.

Got the rub-rail, outer stem, endcap/tiedown rope attachment about all figured out and after that, I only have to build the inner cockpit rim, floatation bags, find a PFD big enough for a small horse ( for me ) and a sweater. Hey, it's been in the hundreds for a couple of weeks here. I hear it'll be in the 50's to 60's up there. Brrrrr!! Don't see how you folks can stand the deep freeze. :)

I'll bet you a cold drink vs. a paddle in 1 hour
