I'm trying to remove heavy oxidation off a fiberglass (gelcoat finish) kayak. I've been using Novus plastic polish (number 2 level) and my random orbit sander with hook and loop polishing pad. The problem is the pads keep separating from their backing. Apart from that, the results look good.

Any recommendations on a different tool/attachment? I really don't want to do the whole thing by hand. (I treated the kayak badly and left it in the sun way too much).
