I haven't paddled one -- I'm building on faith. I love the overall size of my Outer Island, but want to try something similar in a hard-chined boat. When I had my Arctic Tern, I made use of the 'edging' technique to help counteract breezes, and I kind of miss that feature in my round-bottomed O.I. -- edging doesn't seem to do much. Of course with a bit more wetted surface it will be a scosh slower than the O.I....
