: Beautiful work! About the veneer, With it glued to the surface, does it blend
: well after glass and fillcoats? Will you need many fill coats?
: Again, Excellent work!!

Steve,

Yes I would say that it does blend well. Not as smooth as if they had been inlaid, but pretty darn good. It probably does require at leats one extra fill coat as well as the extra sealer coat. I followed the method in Nick's book to apply the veneers first a sealer coat of epoxy on the whole deck then immediately using epoxy to apply the blossoms the clamping pressore was applied using movers tape (see photos on site) whole thing was allowed to set up for about twenty hours and then the ridges left by the plasitc wrap were scraped down and then the whole surface was scuffed with a scotch bright pad. Then the 4oz. glass was wet out and two fil coats applied. This was allowed to cure for 48 hrs. and then sanded smooth and two more fill coats have been applied up to this point. I may do one more fill coat this evening just for the extra protection.
