Ever since the discussion about using a soft pad on you ROS to sand concave areas I have been using my homemade pad several times and really like it. You might recall I cut up a cheap ½" sleep camping foam pad and it works great. I first used it on the concave section of the SS stern and then on the 1" concave radius at the bottom of my skeg I just put on my boat and again it went quick and easy. You can see in the picture it has formed a permanent radius on the edge after some use. I spray glued the foam and hook and loop ROS and pressed them together, then sprayed the top side of the foam pad and stock a sticky sanding disc to it. If you have some foam handy you might give it a try in the inside of your boat.
