Here's a guy in CA who brought down the volum a bit, with the copier as Brian suggested.

He brought down the width a bit in the process. He left the length alone. He told me ther wasn't any noticable difference in the boat other than the fit for himself. I've ben thinking of doing a 16 1/2 ft verson. You're the third person who has asked about that - mostly women. I would lower the volume accordingly but not too severe. Before you ask, - not sure when - probably this winter.

It's ironic, about 65% of the people (guys) are worried about fitting into it. Once they have one, they tell me they want to build a second and lower it a bit. A friend in CT is lowering it an inch and building one this winter. That's pretty low - more like the dedicated rolling machines. We always kid about the fact that you can carry a penuut butter sandwach in the hatch but not chunky style.
