In Response To: Strip: planing interior hull (Tim)
I took this Japanese wood plane from Lee Valley ($35 Can) and re-shpaed it to fit into the curves of canoes and kayaks. Then I re-shaped the blade. It works great since it pulls with the grain and is much easier on the hands than scrapers and cuts faster. I scrape afterwards.
