: My problem is, if I understand the building method of the Arctic Hawk, I
: won't have a way to get to the underside of the deck. You shape the deck
: by pulling it into shape over a form. It seems to me it will be difficult
: to remove it because it will spring out of shape and also difficult to
: place the fitting close to edge of the hull. The kit hardware looks cheap
: to me as well. So what can I do if I can't to the underside of the deck
: once it is joined to the hull?

Maroske fittings can work well here. Two methods:

- trial fit the deck and mark the edge all round, remove again, make fittings on the deck, refit the deck permanantly
- make the maroske fittings separetely and retro fit them. I did this - see blog post below. Fitting them after the deck was attached was really not that hard, although it involved a bit of messing about with thin rope to pull them into place.
