We're taught "work" is the onerous task we are forced to do for pay so we can live.

Stripper construction is antithetical to our cultural conditioning to notions of efficiency and "time is money."

We're taught to be inpatient, multi-task. After all our time is so precious, doing menial tasks is beneath us.

Yet some people wish for simplicity. To make all our problems go away.

So we've discovered the task of building a strip boat is a different kind of "work." A work we do for ourselves, which is fun and peaceful. Time and problems disappear.

Using a sharp chisel. Applying a coat of varnish can be fun, can even be savored.

The more we work the more our hands and body learn the movements, it becomes a dance.

Enjoy the dance! Don't wish for it to be over!
