Thanks for the advice. Kirk, I have the cove on the sheer strip cus that's the method used by One Ocean Kayak where I got my plan. In the future I will use a square edge. Vaclav suggests masking off the sheer strip, glassing over it, etc.
I really like the idea of filling it with silicone but what a pita to remove.
I'm sold on Raka. Considerably less expensive than West. I wonder if their slow hardener is as clear as West's 207...
Bill, I too have lots of experience with West as I'm a cabinetmaker, furniture, millworker but never anything on this scale. Glueing a butt joint on exterior trim is as epoxy as it gets for me.
Well, gonna close up the hull (last two strips) and start tenting and fairing. I will remove the cove from the second to last strips. Thanks Nick...
