Here's a design I drew up a few years ago and never built. Add a 2x4 leg to each end for greater stability. Nice thing about using 2x4 legs is that they are cheap to replace if they warp. You are basically using a 2x6 to suppor the other end of the in- and out-feed tables at the saw. A long fence on the infeed side ends at the back of the blade. You can drive a finishing nail into the outfeed table to serve as a splitter and keep the strip from wobbling back against the blade. The new wood fence is far enough from the saw's original fence that the strip has plenty of room to flex away from the sawblade. You can screw a piece of clear plexiglas over the blade area and hook up a dust collector (not shown on the illustration) this will keep the cutting area cleaner, and make it hard to get fingers into the blade while cutting.
