Greeting Bill I have a Daton model 3z981 band saw. I have had a lot of problems with the upper section. I have had to make a lot of the replacement part as the new parts that i have replaced are no better than the old one's. They are made out of pot metal and fail easy. The blade guides are worn out and cracked and I have not be able to find any replacement parts . These parts are hard to make but not inposable. I have been looking for an new saw but I hate to spend the money for a new one.The rubber protectors on the upper and lower wheels are to find as most any protector will work . The blade guides are easy to make which I usaly make them out of alumim stock with wear out faster but are easer on the blades. Hopeing you the best. Richard
