The Greenland "Storm" roll is actually quite a bit different from a C to C. The C to C is a high brace roll which does not depend on the lifting action of the aftward sweep. The Greenland Storm roll is a forward finishing, aft sweeping roll done with the hands in a low brace position and is done with the paddle in almost constant contact with the kayak. It does benefit from lift developed during the aftward sweep.
