Hello all,

Being that I honed my skills on this forum I thought I'd share my latest strip-built work. This is the Robert August "What I Ride" series. I'm doing the prototype for the hollow wood version that will be marketed in kit form by Wood Surfboard Supply ( www.woodsurboardsupply.com ). Being asked to do a Robert August prototype was a really nice gig, so I pulled out all stops on this one. The deck pattern replicates Robert's signature stripe design in flamed maple, bubinga, and Peruvian Walnut, and I decided to just put it over the top with abalone inlays for stripes and for the logo. The flip-side of the board will have my cross logo inlaid in red tinted abalone inside a Peruvian Walnut football-shaped hollow recess which gives the board lift in the nose for nose riding. Just wait- the fin is going to be even more over the top.
