Thanks. I can't blame the reprobate who pinched the front tether. I could have pulled the perimeter line from the bow and used that.

Of course, I did just that after the incident! Had to strap the kayak to the roof, very carefully, and drive the remaining 400km or so home. Joy. Ahh well. At least it was on the way home, and *after*I had just the best time paddling around the beautiful Marlborough Sounds. What a boat, what a design! Thanks Nick!
