I like bulkhead/foam foot supports. I solved the lack of adjustment for other users by cutting a flat (foam) pool noodle into lengths about as wide as the boat. each one is 1" thick X 6" high. The stack of 8 is strapped to a piece of thin plywood for support with 2 nylon straps. If someone else paddles my boat, I loosen the 2 strap buckles, and pull out as many 1" thick foam pieces to make an exact fit for anyone. The stack is a tight fit against the boat sides. The thin piece of plywood offers support. the change out can be done in seconds. This system does not affect my personal foam blocks, it rests against them. I keep the stack in hatch all the time so it's always ready for use.
