It's been a short winter in that it doesn't seem that long ago that I was paddling every day. But, since before Thanks Giving we spent long hours getting the planes ready for another flying season and then since the first of January we've been busy flying. In a few weeks the Spring rush will be over and we'll have time to spend in the wood shop. So, I ordered a set of plans for the Sling Shot tonight. Ever since I saw the first drawing of it I knew we had to build one. It's going to have cypress stringers and I'm going to use Bill Hamm's method for covering it. Hopefully it'll come in at around 35 pounds.
