I think you've converted me to your way of thinking. If you're married, your wife and mine must be sisters. She'll be ecstatic to hear of a bench design that doubles as a buffet table. Folding legs and easy "tuck 'em away somewhere" storage will make her happy.

I like the idea of being able to bolt 'em together for a strongback. Honestly, I was trying to figure out what else I'd use a Yost style strongback for. Assuming I build the top flat, these benches would be great for model aircraft building. Being able to split them apart makes for easy plywood cutting, for sure.
