: Wood Veneer

: Today I was at work, i'm an architect by trade, and I passed by a

: woods and several different textures and again it got me
: wondering? How could i use this on a kayak? Has anyone ever used
: interesting veneers for more than just a small inlay? The rep

: knowledgable on the subject, but had never had an order for use

Let say for arguments sake that the spring run was an all plywood yak. I picture using the wood veneer to inlay as a single 1/32" layer to create the large swooping shape thats very common as a design with this boat? If you used a textured veneer you may even be able to do all of your sanding prior to the inlay so that you could maintain the texture in the final product? Does anyone have an image of such an approach?
