Yup. I spent a lot of time training apprentices in a commercial cabinet shop, and I took to calling handheld belt sanders the belt saw, as in, "okay, now go get the belt saw, and for god's sake go lightly or suffer the Wrath Of Barry."

I have a most excellent Porter-Cable belt saw, I mean, belt sander, in my tool locker, and practically never use it. Want to hear some true words of wisdom? Get a Shinto Rasp. You will want to give Clayton a great big wet kiss for bringing it up.
