Cheap dye: UV fading concern

: Just finshed dying two boats tonight with Tintex at $2.50 a box.

I notice elsewhere that Tintex dyes have been referred to in the same sentence as Rit Fabric dyes.

A friends spectacular S&G boat faded to a blotchy mess within 1 season.
So those who want an even or lasting finish - especially on wood - proceed with caution and assure yourself of a colourfast approach.
