S&G: Pad eye sealing *PIC*

I'm putting semi-soft pad eyes in my new boat. I using 3/4"webbing but I've made plywood backing plates (see image). I like the idea of the flat plate for making a good waterproof seal. My question is does anybody know of a sealer/adhesive that will allow me to remove the pad eye should I need to? When you think of it, the pad eye does not need to be glued in super solid. By nature, the pad eye wants to pull out of the hull and any pressure to push it back in through the hull would be minimal.

Any suggestions for a sealer/adhesive that will allow removal - with some prying, obviously?
