I guess one question I would have is do you feel like the DuraTuff is like a 1000% tougher, or just a bit tougher? Especially given the price difference that sort of thing really interests me.

Also, what constitutes "a rough life"? As a new kayaker I'm not sure if that means scraping across every rock you see, and seal launching from the beach, and dragging the boat across the parking lot? Or is it just not babying the kayak, occasionally bumping into something fairly lightly, and generally doing the kinds of things a new kayaker would do?
