I don't seem to get much dust but I have the sander hooked up to the vac. The vac port on the disc sander works much better than I expected, there is a 1/8" gap around the disc and the air rushing in picks up most of the dust. It's fascinating to watch but safer to ignore it! I can't say the same for the sanding belt though, it fires the dust several feet right over the workbench.
