Strip: Argh. Router gouges lower Fire Star Bow *PIC*

I decided to round the edges of my lower bow with a router, and as I went around it with a handheld one, the guide slipped as it approached the drop-off of the middle lamination and dug a little deeper into the wood. You can see on the image where I promptly stopped cutting, so the last few millimeters still have a square edge.

Obviously it's not too easy putting wood back on, but I image this sort of thing has happened on other boat parts.. Any suggestions on how to fix?
