Strip: cold glue working

I have finaly moved, not far, just 50 miles along the south coast, and have a half built boat in the garage.
The stripping is almost complete. The boat travelled in the van with the house furniture but traveling has
shown up a few problems with some of the work I did through the winter.
I knew I was pushing my luck with the cold weather and where I added strips and it was too cold, some of
the joints have opened up, (minimum temp. for Titebond 111 is 7c).
I have been opening up the gaps with a thin bladed kitchen knife, squeezing in some glue and closing the gap
tight using a length of washing line as a tourniquet. I'm relieved to say it works well and the repairs are invisible.
