Not much new to report here. Another Sea tour is on the water. Like everyone else has said... its a wonderful boat. Very stable and very comfortable. This boat has a little bit different history than most. It started life as a Sea Otter that I hated. It was way to tippy. After a friend asked me to build him a boat, we agreed the payment would be enough extra materials for me to re-build the sea otter. My variations are an actual masik and two front deck beams instead of one. I also added some "raisers" on the tips to give the boat more flair. The tips were part of the original Sea Otter. While not a perfect way to build a boat, re-building it was a somewhat easy process. Take out the old forms, add the new one and correct the stringers at the stems a tiny bit. My only regret is that I used the old coaming which is somewhat small. I could have built a longer coaming and made it real comfortable. Minor regret as I can still get in and out just fine. I'll post some pics later as I am off to paddle it today.
