If you use dental floss, double it up.

Many people have used floss over the years, but I think it's expensive, and not as strong as other types of thread.

I used Cabela's Prestige 50lb test braided Dacron fishing line. The only thing I don't like about it is the green flecking through the white line. (In truth, it's not bad if you are coloring your coating.) I've probably got 3-5 more boats out of this 200 yard roll. Not bad for $12.99. Could probably even use 30lb test. (Wow, what a freakin' URL. I hope it's usable...)
