Strippers are very rugged. Much more than I ever expected. I had one fall from a car top. Another fell from the ceiling of the garage. Backed into a no parking sign once and damaged the sign but not the kayak. I sit on my kayak every time I get in or out. The only damage has been minor impact damage on the boat that fell on the garage floor from the ceiling. It was easy to fix. Don't worry about the strength of your boat!
