Hi, John. No I didn't but I will go take a look now that you have mentioned it. Many years ago someone here did similar inlays on a Night Heron, the name of the kayak was something like Auri's Silver...that is the kayak that impressed me so much that I wanted to do something similar. Of course, over the years I have seen so many beautiful kayaks, especially Nick's work, that I wanted to attempt to rise to a higher level than I have been at with my S&G kayaks. S&G is nice and utilitarian but strip kayaks are true beauties. I have the patience to complete such a kayak with inlay work and I have enough patience to do pay attention to the necessary detail to get it right. My only hope is that I don't find a way to wreck the kayak soon after it has been completed.
