: The seat is a hanging type - there are 4 bolts down through the
: deck right above the cut-off arms. They hold the seat in place
: (stop it from sliding) while the butt of the seat sits on bottom
: of the boat. I put some thin foam underneath to reduce chafing
: and to make it less slippery.

: I initally did leave some of the back of the chair on but it was
: too steep and was digging into my back when I lay back. This
: boat, the Baffin by Boreal Design, is a true rolling machine
: with a REALLY low back coaming and deck. Having the seat lip
: just high enough to stop my butt from slipping back worked
: perfect. The back band allows for the free movement as well.

I think we may well try this on the current SOF I'm helping a friend build, cheap way to make a comfy seat, very cool :)
