Once you start there are no "more important todo's". You don't want to stop half way and you don't want to be sanding between fill coats as you will be cutting into the cloth if you do. Always go for a chemical bond, if possible, even if you have to get up at four in the morning to achieve it.

Make sure you get your seal-coat on in falling temps and you will avoid outgassing and get good penetration into the wood.
