It was pretty stable, which is good because I'm a novice paddler. I had trouble at first keeping it on track but this was my first experience with a GP and, while trying to adjust the position of my rudder controls, I broke it so I didn't have the rudder for assistance or the footpads for bracing. I think if I'd had either a euro paddle or the use of the rudder, I probably wouldn't have even noticed. I spent today repairing (and strengthening) the pedals and I'll also take a euro paddle with me the next time.

I'm in Maine's mid coast area.
