I always get everything backward. When I started in this business, I built and launched in a frenzied rush, and was extremely casual with handling, care and maintenance. As time goes by I take more and more time in building, treat my boats with increasing care, and even find myself rinsing and wiping them down now. Oh well, I feel like I have a better handle than most on what these boats can take, since I have abused them almost to the point of destruction and otherwise answered a lot of questions the hard way.

Yes, I make my own paddles. Thanks for the compliment, they sure work for me!

: LOL - different strokes I suppose. I was just never willing to risk
: it. Nice paddle by the way. Do you make your own?
