: Another Corey's Goop question:

: Can I paint over the top with an oil based enamel-type paint if I
: decide I want a different color?

: Thinking about getting the 850 Jr. Ballistic + Coating kit, but am
: thinking I might want to paint it later.

: Would this work, or would paint just flake off?

I contacted corey about this and he didn't seem to think it's a great idea to paint over it. If anything, he told me alot of guys will use dyes. I did an experimental patch on the hull bottom of my kayak, rolling on some latex porch paint. It seemed to stick, but wasn't a great coat. It was just a bunch of tiny bubbles of paint, instead of an actual layer of paint. I didn't try re-coating though...
