: I'm new to the kayaking experience, and entertaining the idea of
: building my own boat. I am 6 feet tall and weigh 210. Should I
: consider this in choosing a particular style of kayak, and if so
: any suggestions?

Do you have an idea of which building method you want to employ?

Strip, stitch and glue, skin on frame?

The west river 18 would suit you if you go the ply route.

Although they seem only to sell the kit form these days. It used to be possible to get the plans.
