There's always another much simplier option. Add the Beckson hatch along with their nice nylon bag that fits that hatch and forget the bulkhead. You end up with a big space with two hatches, one's much smaller and has a nice little bag to contain the small stuff (keys, phone etc.) that get lost in a big opening.

I've got that on the rear deck of my NDK Greenlander, works pretty well and is a heck of alot easier than trying to add another bulkhead.
