Staples can be temporary

In Response To: Skin-on-Frame: staple vs sewing (john raley)

I used staples on the gunwales but removed them once the deck was sewn.

the staples allowed me to pull the skin tight with the canvas pliers going side to side. As I pulled on the pliers and had one hand free to use the staple gun. Then after I sewed the deck together as tight as I could i removed the staples.
