Skin-on-Frame: Launching: Yost Sea Tour 17EXP *PIC*

I launched a Yost Sea Tour 17EXP this spring. Frames are aluminum glued together with an industrial aluminum adhesive. Stringers are western red cedar, all recycled from earlier boats, and none of the wood was straight, which made for interesting challenges. Stems were plywood. Final weight, fully rigged, 31 lbs.

I really like this boat. Very stable but still has a good feel to it. Tracks well, weathercocks slightly, edge turns are possible though nothing like a skinnier single-chine. I might scale it down 5% if I redid it in the future. Thanks to Tom for a great design!

I built the boat with flat decks, but they look a little curved in the picture below due to overinflated flotation bags.
