Laminated Coaming

WRC won't bend, even if its thin. Ideally, you need to use white oak but any red oak etc will work fine or ash too. Those woods if green will bend without steaming or when dry, steaming them will allow them to bend like elastic. Check with local back yard mills or tree services as to where the mills are. There you can get some green oak vs. a lumber company where everything is kiln dried and $$. If you post where you live, people always respond with good sources. And do the same here:
