Oh, it's great stuff! I've been building telescopes with it for years, and have used the cut-offs and scraps for countless small things -- like the feet for my boat building cradles, for instance. They have been in service since 2002, have lived under an open carport all that time, even sat through Hurricane Ike right there (tied down, of course). The veneers are starting to peel off on one of them, otherwise they're still as solid as ever. And no, there was never any attempt made to seal the wood, either.

As a woodworker, there are two readily available, affordable, totally utilitarian products from the local hardware store I have unbounded faith in: Titebond II and Baltic birch plywood.
