One solution to my particular problem: the boat looking a little ratty, would have be have been to paint it. I am sure your habit of painting your boats increases the longevity. Sun and the UV it with it is probably the single worst thing for an epoxy and fiberglass boat. Paint pretty much solves that problem.

If I had better storage habits, I could have avoided this job. I tend to be pretty hard on my boats, I justify it as "product testing", figuring that if it holds up to my treatment they should last a very long time for people who put a little care into their treatment.
