You can do what Etienne did,
BUT,

All you need is one station plumbed and FIXED then lay

a couple scrap strips on either side of the keel and staple the
strip to the fixed station and plumb and fix each station by stapling
to the scrap strips.

You should also apply at least a couple scrap strips near the sheer line on each side of the
stations to fix the station sides at regular intervals.
