: I hate to rain on your parade, but PVC pipe is a terrible material
: for a kayak frame. It has little strength, it becomes soft and
: pliable when it's hot, and stiff and brittle when it's cold.
: Others have tried it and rejected it as unsuitable. The only
: things it has going for are that it's cheap and easy to find.
: Personally, I wouldn't trust my safety on the water to a PVC
: frame.

: A side note: spending a little effort on capitalization,
: punctuation and spelling would make your posts a lot easier to
: read.

actualy there are many different typs of pvc, including the pvc composit material that im using, although i can not curently rember the specific name of the material( i will post it as soon as i can find it) it is made to cary industral coolents to factory equipment and is able to hold its structural intergraty
under very low temperature condetions. also there are coatings available that will make it more heat resistant. and as for strength, the the pvc has more than enough strength. i weigh in at about 210 and the first one i built has absoutly no problems with my weight. and handels very well.
