: Looking to do a first kayak build but, want to do a kit, or at

: It seems that strips sources I have found all offer just 1/4".
: Anyone know where I can order thinner strips?
: Will I need to cut my own?

Last winter I built a Red fish Spring Run. The kit uses 3/16" strips with bead and cove. By the time that I had faired and sanded it was much thinner. Certainly as thin as one would want it to be.
This was my first boat and it went together quite easily. The kit included all of the material required.
